Let me introduce myself

So I suppose before I get too far into writing about my life, I should introduce myself a little bit better. Hmmmm.... Well let's start with the basics. I'm 19, I live in Wasilla as I've already stated. I'm an art student. My name is Khia. My internet alias is Doom Goddess.
  • I'm a bit of a nerd, but I'm not super nerdy. I don't like to wear the same outfit twice.
  • I'm always honest, never ask me a question if you don't want my real answer.
  • I'm usually a loud, outgoing type of person, but I have my shy moments. I don't like approaching strangers. When I was a kid, I moved a lot. Sometimes I would go weeks without making any friends because I won't approach new people on my own, but if someone comes to me then I'm perfectly willing to talk.
  • I talk a lot. Why? Because that's how I get through things. If I don't talk things out then I have issues with depression and anger.
  • I actually have quite a few health issues. People look at me and think I'm healthy, but doctors don't agree. It's really very annoying. Especially because people often think I'm lying about things.
  • I have 3 cats. And I love them.
  • It's not hard to discourage me. You spend too much time having people crush your hopes and telling you you're worthless and it gets difficult to keep yourself upbeat. I do try, but words really do hurt me when they come from people I care about.
Things I love:
Rain, cool Alaska mornings, mountains, forget-me-nots, learning, reading, art, photography, cats, lemurs, clothing, shoes, bright hair colors, Portland, piercings, being held, cuddling, being told I'm cute (opposed to hot/pretty/sexy/etc), funny hats, skirts, lace, cooking, Cthulhu, tattoos, men with long hair, fire, swimming, raving, France (I don't give a fuck about your opinion on them), shrimp sushi, Bailey's,the ocean, sleeping on the beach, dressing up and kink.

Things I like:
White roses, sunny days, video games, role playing, climbing mountains, laying in the sun, coffee, sitting with my friends and just hanging out, watching captain planet at 3 AM, cartoons from the 90's, horror movies, having my picture taken, sleeping, soft blankets, leaving marks, guns, teaching myself new skills, writing, and taking long showers.

Things I dislike:
Difficult teachers, being called a bitch 5+ times in one evening by the same people, losing friends, people who do too many drugs, annoying dogs who bark too much, wine, people who take memes too seriously, 3D art using paper, being sad, long winters, country music, people who judge my music taste, children, feeling stagnant, mosquitos, pain, and manipulative people.

Things I hate:
Closed mindedness, lies, spiders, dentists, sting rays, old snow, werewolves, saying stupid things, being called stupid, people who are stupid, vacuums, dish soap, being judged, people who say mean things about people I like, smoking too much, being sick, popping balloons, feeling unwanted, thunder, drama, gross toilets, and being yelled at.

And I suppose that's a fairly basic overview of who I am.

The list of the year

I've decided that it's time for me to stop feeling bored and trapped. I've been here in Wasilla, land of the dull and dreary, and I've just let myself be consumed by it. So it's time for that to stop. So I've come up with a list of things to do and/or accomplish in the next year. Starting today, I want to complete my mission in exactly 366 days.

So why start a blog for this? Because I want to remind myself to keep with my plan. If I document them and try to keep things updated somewhere, then maybe I will actually make myself do what I need to. Being the lazy and easily discouraged person that I am.

And so, without further ado, here is my list:

  1. Start a blog (obviously I just did this)
  2. Actually keep up on my blog
  3. Get out of Alaska for awhile
  4. DON'T let myself move in with a boyfriend.
  5. Find something to smile about each day
  6. Explore at least 5 new kinks
  7. Read 30 new books
  8. Actually fall in love with someone
  9. Create 25 works of art
  10. Take a photo everyday
  11. Conquer a fear
  12. Climb a mountain
  13. Get a tattoo
  14. Go a week without having a nightmare and/or a disturbing dream
  15. Start doing yoga
  16. Learn to successfully meditate
  17. Get over my old heartaches
  18. Change a life
  19. Really help someone
  20. Spend at least one day a month in bed with someone who means something to me
  21. Plant a garden
  22. Stop being so damn lazy
  23. Get a 4.0 for fall semester
  24. Try a new food
  25. Enjoy a food I hate
  26. Tell someone my secrets
  27. Play with fire
  28. Find a girl I'm actually attracted to
  29. Dye my hair every color on your basic color wheel
  30. Conquer my limits
  31. Find beauty
  32. Feel as though I am wanted or missed
  33. Discover something
  34. Meet someone important
  35. Lose myself

This list is subject to grow as I see fit. When I think of new goals and as I complete them, I will be adding things and crossing things off.

Time to create some awesome in my life.
